Art and engineering family night
The book fair at Lone Peak is one of the biggest in the district. Our Teachers and students love books! We have two book fairs a year during Parent / Teacher conferences. The more volunteers we have, the more times we can be open. It isn’t necessary to know any special details you can be trained at the book fair.
We do two Box Top challenges a year. We need a few volunteers to help promote and gather.
Back to School Carnival! This year we are changing our carnival to September! This is a fun night for kids and parents. We will do food trucks and there will be bounce houses, slides, and the climbing wall! Don’t miss this fun event! No Volunteers needed.
chinese new year
We have the privilege of being a Dual-Immersion school. Each year we take a day to celebrate the Chinese New Year. The kids love this fun assembly followed by a chance to do some Chinese games, crafts, and art. Volunteer to help make this day a success.
dr. seuss reading week
Volunteer to help make this day a success. The more that you read, the more things you will know. The more that you learn, the more places you’ll go. Volunteer to help us make this week a special time to find a love of reading.
The time to start planning for college is when you are young. This fun week has a few lunch time activities and a great assembly to help kids get excited about planning for a higher education.
This is our big fundraiser of the year! The kids love that they get to run away from the school with police escorts. There are lots of prizes and excitement. The whole school looks forward to this special day!
We have great relationships with businesses around the valley. They are amazing to help us raise extra money for our school. Plus it’s a great excuse not to make dinner or get a special treat and have the proceeds go to right to our students.
Volunteer here if you want to help us provide meals for the teachers during back-to-school and parent teacher conferences.
At Lone Peak our kids love Junior Achievement! Every class needs one or two volunteers. It is easy, all the materials are provided for you, and it’s a chance to spend time in your child’s classroom. You schedule when you can help with your child’s teacher. Typically we do this program in the spring. **Please put child’s name and grade in the volunteer form so we can make sure you are with your child.
The youth of today are being challenged and bombarded at every turn with problems and issues, the likes of which their parents did not have to deal with when they were their age. There are many people in this world creating, marketing, and selling dangerous and harmful products, many of which fall in to the hands of our children. Shaming, cyber-bullying and youth suicide rates are at an all-time high adn youth need positive role models, as well as personal education and tools to deal with these challenges. N.O.V.A. was designed to provide a resource to children, families, and communities to fight against harmful influences, while providing guidance toward positive opportunities and values.

A few years ago the parents of Lone Peak said they wanted more science. PTA listened. We have a great science enrichment program that the kids love. They get a chance to have an instructor and parent helpers walk them through different experiments. This year some of these will be with the engineering teacher and others will require many of our parent volunteers. Sign up here or in your teacher’s classroom. We will email a sign-up genius before each science day.
We have the best teachers at Lone Peak. We like to show them how much we appreciate them.
